Root canal treatment is indicated for teeth with deep cavities or any loss of tooth structure that exposes the pulp of the tooth. The process involves Removing the decays and filling the pulp with inert materials to avoid further damages by the re-entry of bacterias.
The root canal treatment is needed for the immediate replacement of infected pulp. It may be decayed for several reasons like accidents, entry of bacterias, etc. But you will never feel the pain or sensitivity at the initial stage. If the decay spreads over the root canal system of the tooth it will affect the bones and even the roots too. It will lead to the extraction of the tooth.
Root canal treatment will be advised only for the following issues given below:
Treatment process: |
---|
The tooth will be anesthetized to avoid aches during the process and a vent is made in the pulp chamber initially. |
The root canal length is determined by a separate measurement. |
The decayed pulp is removed by means of drilling. Cleaning, shaping is also done for making the root canal quite sufficient for the fillings. |
Canals are filled with an inert sealed material and permanent fittings are placed for additional support. |
Finally, a new crown is fixed on the artificially built tooth and also protects the tooth from the reentry of bacterias by the necessary precautions. It protects the tooth for long-lasting natural tee |
